LAX adopted "L.A. International Airport" as its official song during its 75th anniversary in August 2003. Housed in the Flight Path Learning Centre - Museum at LAX is the exhibit of memorabilia from this record. The song also gained popularity at an international level, garnering many fans from  Japan and Australia. The live performance of this song was sealed in an airport time capsule Dec. 17, 2003. It will be opened on October 1, 2028, which is when LAX will celebrate its centennial.

In 2004, the international airport has a drama television show named "LAX", starring Heather Locklear. Blair Underwood, Frank John Hughes, Wendy Hoopes, Paul Leyden and David Paetkau.

LAX is the only major airport that has an aviation museum and research center with a major focus on contributions of civil aviation to the history and development of Southern California. The Flight Path Learning Centre is a non-profit, community-based organization that honours pioneers in the aviation field and seeks to attract youth to pursue careers in this field.
