Founded in 1945 by Leopold Stokowski, this orchestra was originally named the Hollywood Bowl Symphony. Two years later its performances at the Bowl were replaced by those of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The orchestra was finally re-established in 1991 as the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra under the direction of John Mauceri where it now tours around the world!
