  • The sidewalk café featured in the final scene of Woody Allen's "Annie Hall" was "The Source" restaurant," a vegetarian bistro located at 8301 Sunset (at Sweetzer Avenue). The restaurant is now under new ownership and has a new name – ‘The Cajun Bistro.’ The sidewalk dining area has been semi-enclosed since the movie was shot there.
  • In a large yellow train car on the north side of Sunset (8351 Sunset Blvd.), you’ll find "Carney's." This is a novel restaurant that calls itself as "the little train on the right side of the tracks." Actor Andrew McCarthy ("Mannequin") and Cuba Gooding Jr. frequent the restaurant. • One of Hollywood’s best examples of Art Deco design can be found on the south side of the Strip, at 8358 Sunset, in the form of the historic St. James's Club & Hotel. This building that stands 13-stories tall is the Strip's first high-rise. Now called The Argyle, it was originally the Sunset Towers hotel, and virtually every star in Hollywood stayed here at one time or another.
